Hi, I'm Jules Varnham your cognitive behavioural (CBT) practitioner. We will start working together by doing a full assessment to understand the issues and areas of your life you want to work on. We will then jointly agree the approach from there. This would either be a tailored CBT programme designed for you or the 8-week programme I offer. The CBT exercises you work through each week are designed to help you gain greater insight into your own thoughts, behaviours, feelings and physical symptoms to allow you the make lasting positive changes to problem areas in our life.
I can help you with issues relating to anxiety, low mood, depression, phobias, perfectionism, addictions, panic attacks, self-harm, trauma and other issues. I work with people from all backgrounds and cultures. I am registered with the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies). Whilst I work with clients on a one to one basis, I also run group workshops and talks for corporate organisations and further education schools on a number of topics such as race, identity, self esteem and mid-life issues such as menopause management. These enrichment & wellness workshops and talks can be tailored to your needs.
At Arise CBT, my belief is that we truly are our beliefs and our lives are shaped from those beliefs. The good news is that beliefs can and do change over time. With my help and working together using CBT approaches, you can find ways to unlearn old beliefs and create new beliefs that serve you. You will gain greater self awareness and insight into where you are and what you need to change. And you will find ways to heal, recover, restore, transform and find true wellness. Anxiety therapy is designed to help you overcome fear, stress, and anxiety. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behaviour, and develop strategies to manage your anxiety.

Depression therapy can help you overcome feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and despair. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behaviour, and develop strategies to manage your depression.

Trauma therapy can help you overcome the effects of traumatic events. This can be big or small events that effect you. I use evidence-based techniques to help you heal from the psychological impact of trauma, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression. As we work together I will ensure to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences and develop strategies to move forward.

This 8-week CBT programme is designed to help you understand your thoughts and feelings and really get connected with yourself. From there we will start setting new goals for where you want to be. We will also look at overcoming obstacles with proven CBT techniques for when you get stuck...and let's face it, we all do! We will work on finding postives to improve the quality of your life and finally, staying on track with your progress so that you can keep going on your own.
Available online or face to face. This programme is £480. Payment plans are available.
I offer CBT talks and workshops for employee enrichment and staff wellness programmes. I specialise on the area of identity and diversity and how CBT can help us better understand and support diversity in the workplace. I also deliver talks on confidence building, raising self-esteeem and supporting women in midlife during menopause.
